SPRINT Robotics is proud to announce the three finalists for the inaugural RISE Thesis Pitch Challenge. These exceptional students, representing leading universities from Europe, the USA, and Brazil, will present their groundbreaking research to a panel of industry experts at the SPRINT Robotics World Conference for Inspection & Maintenance Robotics 2025. The conference is set to take place at the RAI in Amsterdam.
The finalists and their pitches are:
- Antonio Gonzales Morgado from the University of Sevilla (Spain), presenting “Innovative Aerial Robotics for Perimeter Pipeline Inspections.”
- Heiko Kabutz from the University of Colorado Boulder (USA), with “Increasing Agility of Insect Robots Through Body Shape Morphing for Inspection of Complex Machinery.”
- Lucas Braga Campost from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), pitching “Steam Reforming Furnace Tube Inspection Robot – SRF Robot.”
The RISE Thesis Pitch Challenge aims to bridge the gap between academic innovation and practical industry application. It provides a platform for rising talent to showcase their ideas to a global audience of industry professionals, fostering collaboration and advancing the field of inspection and maintenance robotics.
The finalists will present their pitches on October 21, with the winner being announced during the Awarding Ceremonies on October 22. The winner will be selected based on the innovation, technical merit, and potential industry impact of their thesis.
