SPRINT Robotics successfully concluded its participation at E-World energy & water 2026, welcoming industry professionals from across the global energy and utilities sectors to explore the latest advancements in inspection and maintenance robotics.
Held from 10–12 February 2026 at Messe Essen in Germany, one of Europe’s leading exhibitions for the energy and water industries brought together technology innovators, asset owners, operators, and decision-makers focused on accelerating digital transformation and operational efficiency. At the heart of the event was the SPRINT Robotics Pavilion, which served as a dedicated hub for robotics-driven solutions supporting safer, smarter, and more sustainable infrastructure operations.
Robotics Innovation on Display
The Pavilion featured leading robotics and inspection technology providers, including ANYbotics, DEKRA, Planys Technologies, and Hydromea, alongside other SPRINT Robotics members exhibiting across the exhibition floor. Throughout the three-day event, visitors engaged with live demonstrations, technical discussions, and real-world use cases highlighting how robotics and autonomous systems are transforming inspection and maintenance practices.

Solutions showcased addressed critical industry challenges such as confined-space inspections, underwater asset monitoring, autonomous data collection, and digital asset intelligence, all contributing to improved safety, reduced downtime, and data-driven decision-making.
A Collaborative Industry Program
Complementing the exhibition, SPRINT Robotics’ Task Force Power & Energy Transition delivered a comprehensive program designed to foster collaboration and practical industry outcomes. The program combined technical exchange with networking opportunities and direct engagement with end users.

Activities included panel sessions at the Change Forum, workshops, task force meetings, and networking events that encouraged dialogue between technology developers and asset owners. Highlights included:
- Expert-led panel discussion entitled “Why Robotics & Best Practices”, moderated by Nils Tecklenborg-Johann and Niels Westendorp, with thought-provoking insights shared by Patrick Kleu (Amprion), Michael Mangold (RWE), Oussama Darouichi (ANYbotics), Hans-Peter Vierstraete (DEKRA), and Falk-Moritz Schaefer (Accenture), highlighting the importance of collaboration, standards, and real-world deployment
- The Startup Factory Masterclass and SPARX Challenge Award Ceremony
- A dedicated networking dinner connecting the SPRINT Robotics community
- An exclusive visit to RWE, where participants held Task Force meetings focused on real-world deployment challenges and collaboration opportunities
Driving Industry Progress Through Collaboration
The initiative reflected SPRINT Robotics’ ongoing commitment to expanding access to innovation while strengthening collaboration across the inspection and maintenance ecosystem. By offering complimentary visitor passes, the organization encouraged broad participation from industry stakeholders, helping bridge the gap between technology innovation and operational deployment.
The strong engagement throughout E-World 2026 demonstrated the growing role of robotics in supporting the energy and water sectors’ transition toward safer, more efficient, and digitally enabled operations.
As the event concluded, SPRINT Robotics reaffirmed its mission to connect industry leaders, accelerate adoption of robotics solutions, and enable practical progress toward the energy transition through collaboration and shared expertise.
